For those who don't know yet what is tagua:
Tagua (coroso, palm, vegetable or nut ivory as it is also called) is the dried nut of the Tagua Palm (Phytelephas aequatorialis or Phytelephas Macrocarpa).
This palms grows in the humid tropical forests of Ecuador, Colombia and Panama.
After harvesting the nut is dried for three months and becomes hard and white.
Last century until the breakthrough of the plastics it was widely used for making buttons. The last twenty years this use once again
has become popular for those who want something more exclusive than plastic.
Using tagua products sustains the tropical forests, since it is a sustainable use of the tropical forest therefore helping the conservation.
